BEAUTIFUL LIFE
At time for bed, I was always read fairy stories
That said life was beautiful, and as a child I believed.
Now I know life is hard. They left out that part, but the rest is still true,
And I am so lucky to find my happy ending is you.
With you by my side, I can see I was right. It’s a beautiful, beautiful life.
When I lose my sight, you shine a light. Oh, it’s beautiful, you’re beautiful.
When I lose my stride, you are my guide through this beautiful, beautiful life.
I’ve done something right if I’m your wife. You’re my beautiful life.
When I am tired, uninspired, it gets harder to see
Life is beautiful, when it just seems exhausting to me,
Endless chores, endless closed doors, but you’ve helped me to see
All along I’ve been lucky. I was right where I needed to be.
I must confess, it’s not what I guessed ever after would mean.
Life is beautiful, but it’s hardly the life of a queen.
Laundry and dishes and my granted wishes have become intertwined,
And I am so lucky to share it all with you, true love of mine.
You’re my beautiful life.
You’re my beautiful life.
